How to Lock Loomo?

You can now use Lock function to protect Loomo from being used by others. Once locked, Loomo will disable its riding function and emit beeping sounds to alert when someone tries to use or move it.

Before You Start

  • Update Loomo and the LOOMO App to their latest version.
  • Make sure that the LOOMO App and the robot are successfully bound to each other (if you have reset Loomo in settings, please connect Loomo to your phone again to verify your identity.)

How to Lock Loomo

After binding the robot to your user account, you can find Lock function in the robot's menu and click on it to lock your Loomo.

When using Lock function for the first time, you need to set up your PIN.

How to Unlock

Once the PIN input interface below appears on the robot's screen, it means that you have successfully locked the robot. You can enter your PIN there to unlock Loomo anytime.

While your phone is connected to Loomo, you can also long-press the Lock icon on your phone's screen (as shown in the picture below) to unlock it, aside from entering the PIN on the robot's screen. For Apple Watch users, if you have downloaded the LOOMO App on your Apple Watch, you can press the Lock icon on your watch to unlock Loomo while Loomo is connected to your iPhone.

If you want the robot to sleep when locked, you can press the transform button on Loomo for it to transform into self-balancing vehicle mode. 

Change or Reset PIN

If you forgot your PIN or want to change it, you can click on "change or reset PIN" at the bottom of the robot's screen when the robot is locked.

To verify your identity as the user, please first connect your robot to your mobile phone. Once the binding is successful, a pop-up window will appear on your phone's screen for you to confirm the reset. After the confirmation is made, you will be able to reset your PIN on the robot.

Note

We don't recommend that you use Lock function when the robot's battery is low, because Loomo might shut down itself when being locked and therefore fail to alert you.

Loomo's Lock function can't guarantee a 100% anti-theft protection. To prevent loss, please do not leave Loomo unattended for too long.
